I like em.

I see you made some adjustments after feedback on Discord, so email me the finalised version for the site and I'll give it a trial run in a few days.

I've just uploaded Drifts revised version:
- Cut down vertical pixels to use less real-estate
- Moved head to left to center it
- Removed 4th pair of feathers to create wing/tail gap
- Probably some other changes.

If yours is as large as his original was, can you shrink it a bit too pls.

Thanks!

@Everyone, we'll trial these for a few days each and then have a vote. So, take your time to consider them and make a choice.

I'm just about to upload Drift's versions to INARA as well - may as well stay in sync during the trial period.

If you interested here are the other adjustments I made...
- Enlarged top wing pair
- Shrunk bottom wings pair
- Made Middle and Bottom wing pairs deeper to try and use the gap up a bit
- Made Tail a bit thinner
- Changed angles of wing pairs and tail to compensate for their new shapes and position

Here's my very quick take on it

Very nice!
and thanks for the feedback.

I prefer the metal affect you have, mine was a bit of a pig to get right as it had a sheen in it already, where did you get yours from? Great idea with the shield especially the sunken lion and stars, love'em. I'm going to have to have a play around now

One thought I had was whether we need to simplify everything, as I was wondering if a flat black and white version might be more in keeping with the website? Any thoughts on that?

Lets see what sort of bastard-child we can create!

I actually made the metal effect myself:

1. Create the shapes you need
2. Select them all
3. Apply 400% monochrome noise
4. Apply motion blur to the amount you feel looks good
5. Apply 50% grey fill set to 'behind'

Boom! Brushed metal effect.

My take on the wide version

We really should just collab on this, Drifty, haha.

Sorry guys, I still think that the eagle looks like a turkey ... :D
Maybe it's the body being a little on the fat side.
And the wings don't look like eagle wings.

I wish I was proficient in Photoshop and contribute more creatively... :(

:o

I like it. I think that I like the empire's eagle after all, with the straight upwards wings.
